Chris Carey
General Manager & SVP of Product, Calm Health
Chris Carey is an experienced leader in product development passionate about building amazing teams striving to create healthcare and financial services tools to make the systems work for everyone. Chris has spent the last two decades honing his skills in product development to find solutions to problems faced by consumers. As the GM and SVP of Product at Calm Health, Chris is focused on creating a platform for the world’s most trusted healthcare solutions by building and investing in simple, innovative solutions that address all dimensions of health.
In 2015, Chris joined Rally Health as the Chief Product Officer and created a new product line that grew to be the company’s largest P&L in just five years. From 2012 through 2014, as the Director of Online and Mobile Strategy at Blue Shield of California, Chris was responsible for leading a team of product managers to develop multi-channel strategies for member, employer, broker and provider portals. Chris and his team launched Blue Shield’s first mobile web and mobile app experiences, receiving the annual “Mission and Values” award because of his efforts, voted on by the executive leadership team.
Dr. Chris Mosunic
Chief Clinical Officer, Calm Health
Chris Mosunic is a licensed clinical psychologist and registered dietitian specializing in forming, scaling, and managing large provider teams and networks at healthcare start-ups and both privately and publicly held healthcare organizations. Before his current role as the chief clinical officer at Calm, Chris served as an executive healthcare leader at Yale New Haven Health, Johnson and Johnson, Rivermend Health, Advanced Recovery Systems, and Vida Health.
Chris received his undergraduate degree in biology and psychology from Bucknell University, his MS in nutritional biochemistry from Tufts, his PhD in clinical psychology from Vanderbilt, and his MBA from Yale.
Krystal Sexton
Founder and CEO of Cognitive Capital Group
Krystal Sexton, PhD, is a globally recognized leader in health and well-being. She helps organizations create cultures that support employee mental, brain, and social health as the Founder and CEO of Cognitive Capital Group, also serving in roles as the Chief Science Officer for Compassion 2.0, Scientific Advisor to the UTDallas Center for Brain Health, and Global Program Director for the Brain Capital Academy at AETHEON. She was most recently the Global Health Analytics Manager at Shell. Krystal has been an invited speaker at the United Nations General Assembly, G7, Davos World Economic Forum, and many international and US-based symposia, an author of numerous publications and book chapters, and an advisor and Board of Directors member for scientific non-profit and government organizations. Over the past two decades, Krystal has held positions in academia and industry, with her work spanning across health disparities and inequities and workplace mental, physical, and brain health.
Krystal was faculty at Baylor College of Medicine with a research focus on breast cancer disparities in diagnosis and survival of minority women. At Shell, she helped develop the holistic approach to health that covers physical, mental, and social health and led the well-being team for North and South Americas for several years. Krystal led the global team of epidemiologists and health analysts who supported cross-discipline and cross-functional work across Shell with a primary focus on (1) brain health and its impact on business performance metrics and (2) innovative approaches to addressing well-being and health inequities in the workplace and the community.
Krystal obtained an MS in Biostatistics and PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Texas School of Public Health and completed postdoctoral fellowships at both MD Anderson Cancer Center and Baylor College of Medicine. In her spare time, she loves cooking, traveling, all outdoor activities, and spending time with her husband, son, and their rescue dog and cats.
